Each cafeteria has vending machines, DStv, Internet Access and Wifi Internet Access. Resource Centre - All the research material and textbooks needed by a student during their studies are available in the Resource Centre. The resources are available either electronically, on the varsity network, on the Internet or as hard copy textbooks. Students are encouraged to use the resource centre to supplement the material provided with their Student Packs. Internet - High Speed Broadband connectivity is available to all students. Students with Notebooks will be able to access the Wifi Network. Internet connectivity is also available in the Computer Labs, Resource Centre and "Pause Zone". Wifi - Students with Notebooks have access to the wifi network in class, which includes access to the Internet, as well as access to the Student Management System. The wifi network is accessible throughout the varsity. Computer Labs - The varsity has computer labs for those students who have an IT component in their course. Time is these labs are scheduled on the Academic Time-Table. Students needing access to computers outside scheduled classes can make use of the the computers in the "Pause Zone" or Resource Centre. Virtual Training - This is an exciting new venture for Latitude Varsity. Students enrolled for Distance Learning will be able to attend class via the Intenet. Certain of the lectures will be available via "Virtual Learning", this will enable a student to access a lecture on the campus from the comfort of his own home. Using Webcams and Electronic Whiteboards, the class will be broadcast to the student via the Internet. The student will be able to interact with the lecturer as if he/she were sitting in the class.
